Holy Spirit: Catalyst for Supernatural Breakthrough (Pt.4)

Dearly Beloved,

“Comfort, comfort my people,” says your God. “Speak tenderly to Jerusalem. Tell her that her sad days are gone and her sins are pardoned. . . . Then the glory of the Lord will be revealed, and all people will see it together. The Lord has spoken!”  ( ► Is. 40:1,2,5 )

Congratulations and welcome to the last week of July 2021. Three weeks ago, we began a series titled: Holy Spirit: Catalyst for Supernatural Breakthrough and so far in the series, we have established that by the power of the Holy Ghost, the believer is directed by God, directed into triumph and victory – all the time. As we conclude on the series this week, I want to begin by saying that it is amazing to know that as a believer, you and I have the privilege of being in a relationship with the Creator of the universe.

The Holy Spirit today plays a major role in the application of salvation to the individual. It is the Holy Spirit who brings conviction to the unbeliever and causes him or her to see the truth of the gospel in a clear light. Those who respond to this conviction and place their faith in Jesus Christ receive eternal life and a new nature. The Holy Spirit equally unites the believer with Christ and places him in the body of Christ, controls the believer who yields to God and submits himself to God’s Word; and seals the believer “until the day of redemption”(2 Corinthians 1:22; Ephesians 1:13; 4:30).

The Holy Spirit sovereignly bestows spiritual gifts or abilities for service to every believer. He washes, sanctifies, purifies and justifies (Romans 15;16, 1 Corinthians 6:11; 2 Thessalonians 2:13; 1 Timothy 3:16; 1 Peter 1:2,22), restrains (Acts 16:6) and renews (Titus 3:5). The Holy Spirit provides boldness(Acts 4:31) and power to be a witness (Acts 1:8). He supplies (Philippians 1:19),  strengthens with might (Ephesians 3:16), liberates (2 Corinthians 3:17), reveals (Luke 2:25; 1 Corinthians 2:10,12; Ephesians 1:17-19; 3:5), gives power to mortify the deeds of the flesh (Romans 8:13), gives comfort, health, and strength (John 15:26; Acts 9:31).

Today, the Holy Spirit is inviting you and I to walk with Him. (Romans 8:4-5) so I sign off on the series, if you need a miracle today in your body, your relationship with the Lord, your marriage, your children, your emotions; or your finances – this is your opportunity to believe God and enter into a new and exciting season of His covenant blessings. As you make the Holy Spirit your Senior Partner for life, I see God by His Spirit become an enemy to your enemies, prosper you, restore everything the enemy stole from you, increase you on every side, take sickness away from you, grant you long life; and assign His angels to protect and lead you to your miracles.

Welcome to your new season of overflowing, never ending, proof-producing anointing of God over your life.

Holy Spirit:: Catalyst for Supernatural Breakthrough  (Pt. 3)

Dearly Beloved,

“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”  ( ►Acts 1:8)

Congratulations and welcome to another brand-new week. Two weeks ago, we began a series titled: Holy Spirit:: Catalyst for Supernatural Breakthrough and so far in the series, we established that a solid relationship with God and His Spirit is the pre-requisite for operating in the supernatural realm.

As believers, we belong to a kingdom of power (1 Cor. 4:20/2:4) and power not only authenticates our membership in God’s kingdom; it also gives value to our lives (Psa. 110:2-3/ 66:7). The question then is “why is the church of Christ so powerless in most parts today?” The reason is not far from the fact that many people in church are yet to discover our covenant access to empowerment (Hosea 4:6/Isa. 5:13).

In Acts 2, the Bible records that 50 days after Jesus ascended, a fledgling group of 120 believers could do nothing but pray and fast, wait and dream before they experienced His supernatural breakthrough and the wait was worth it because it did happen and it was powerful. That miraculous moment became a dramatic turning point in the lives of the disciples. That day, the church was born in power – power that transformed the disciples and enabled them to transform the world. This Acts 2 event is a vital reminder that as believers, we are called to a supernatural life and that the same wonder-working power displayed in the life of Jesus and His early followers is available to us when we are filled with the Holy Spirit.

As you read this epistle today, chances are that just like the early disciples, there may be some promise from God that is yet to be fulfilled in your life. With all my heart, I’m convinced that God wants to intervene in your difficult situations, releasing you from issues of poverty, debt, sickness, depression, loneliness, hopelessness, addiction or family strife; whatever your biggest need may be.

In 1 Corinthians 15:6, more than 500 people had encountered the resurrected Savior and heard His promise for “power from on high” but in Luke 24:49, only 120 bothered to show up on the Day of Pentecost to receive His gift.
These 120 disciples yearned for a breakthrough from Heaven so they prayed, they pondered, they prepared; and waited. Just as Jesus’ disciples did before the Spirit was poured out, my prayer for you is that you will follow the example of those who patiently waited for His supernatural presence and as you do, I have it on good authority that your supernatural breakthrough will come swiftly and suddenly.

You will not miss out on the blessings of this season.

Holy Spirit: Catalyst for Supernatural Breakthrough (Pt.2)

“But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. 11 For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God.”  ( ► 1 Corinthians 2:10-11)

Congratulations and welcome to another brand-new week. Last week, we began a series titled: Holy Spirit: Catalyst for Supernatural Breakthrough and by way of introduction, we established that the realm of the supernatural is where one hears things, which others don’t hear.

In Genesis 3, Adam and Eve committed a terrible blunder. The effect of their high-treason offence was so enormous that the law of sin and death literally took over the entire planet. This explains the natural pull towards mediocrity on earth and realistically, the system of this world (by itself) is destined for failure. It is governed by the devil, who is the author of failure. This is why a natural man will always find excellence to be a challenge.

Thankfully, there is a spiritual dimension of reality available to the believer but to walk in this supernatural realm – the realm where God dwells, you and I must have a solid relationship by covenant with God and His Spirit. The Holy Spirit of God teaches, guides, comforts and intercedes. It is the Holy Spirit who brings conviction to the unbeliever and causes him (or her) to see the truth of the gospel in a clear light. The Holy Spirit indwells the believer permanently and His sovereignly is what bestows spiritual gifts or abilities for service to every believer. A relationship with the Spirit of God guarantees the presence of God and the presence of God is the major key to walking in the supernatural realm.

When the Presence of God in a believer’s life intensifies, miracles and wonders multiply. This is more so because the Presence of God is the natural climate of the supernatural realm. Mark 16:20 confirms that when the presence saturates the life of a believer, it turns that believer into a sign and a wonder so as I sign off this week, my prayer for you is that you will hunger and thirst for God so much that you become so full of the Spirit of God – so full of God that you become a mobile carrier of His Presence.

Remain EVER Blessed!
