Signs and Wonders

Unveiling the Wonders in the Word

‘In the beginning, was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.’-John 1:1

Beloved, as earlier established, God’s Word is laden with wonders! For without the Word was not anything made that was made… Be mindful also, that every time you receive and engage the Word, you are infused with ‘godship’; in such a manner that your humanity is empowered and transformed to Divinity. Consequently, the more of God’s Word you receive and engage, the greater the manifestation of ‘godship’ in your life: Hence, a carnal or godless man is one who is Word-empty or ‘Wordless’; in the same vein, a worthless man is one who is bereft of the manifestation of God.

Scripture reveals in Ezekiel 2:2 ‘And the spirit entered into me when he spake unto me, and set me upon my feet, that I heard him that spake unto me.’ As revealed, whenever the Word goes forth, the Spirit of the LORD enters into the recipient and delivers creative and transformational power, such that one is empowered to manifest Divinity literally. Consider John 6:63.

The mystery of the Anointing is an unimpeachable wonder of the Word: For when the Word of God is received, all things that pertain to life and godliness are revealed, by the instrumentality of the Anointing of the Holy Spirit: To such an extent that recipients of the Word are empowered to operate in the class of God-the realm of wonders!

Revealed thus, in 1 John 2:20 ‘But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.’

Therefore, via this Word encounter, you exit the realm of the ordinary and enter into the league of the extraordinary in the name of Jesus! Forthwith, you become a mystery and wonder to your world as a consequence of your delightful engagement of the Word received! Consider Isaiah 8:18.

Do understand, that ours is a Kingdom governed by mysteries, affirmed in Mark 4:11: And only those who attain mastery of Kingdom mysteries, enjoy dominion and all-round rest in life. A mystery is a puzzle-something that is difficult to understand or explain. Hence, the Anointing Oil in a bottle is often misconstrued by many to be Olive oil: Scientifically, the content of the bottle is an aggregation of chemical constituents; however, once blessed, the Spirit of the LORD is invested into the content of the bottle; empowering same to be transformed into a mysterious spiritual ordinance. The Anointing Oil is thus, the conveyor of the Spirit of God!

Some time ago, a spiritual daughter of mine based in France brought to me a bottle of Olive oil, which I subsequently blessed and declared as the Anointing Oil. On a trip to Congo Brazaville, she engaged this Kingdom mystery-the Anointing Oil; on a woman with a chronic wound(a sore that fails to heal), and immediately, a live snake emerged from the open wound, swelled up, and died instantly. From that time forth, the infirmed woman’s healing was enforced! Halleluyah!!

Beloved, whilst on a Mission inspectorate visit to a church in Ikot Ekpene some years back: The Holy Ghost revealed to me, that the land was under the oppression of a satanic ‘snail spirit’; manifested by an appalling lack of progress in the land. The Spirit of God, further impressed on me to curse this satanic spirit to damnation and enforce the dominion of the heirs of salvation over the land. Together with the pastors, deacons, and elders of that assembly, the earth of Ikot Ekpene was anointed and the satanic ‘snail spirit’ cursed: By prophetic decree, the Spirit of the LORD-He who enforces liberty and guarantees speed(same Spirit that empowered Elijah to outrun the chariots and horses of Ahab), was released upon the land. As soon as this was done, snails began to emerge from the Earth under our feet; the snails were subsequently crushed. The consequence of that ministration was tremendous and is still being felt till this day. Evidenced by an inexplicable gale of appointments and breakthroughs within the rank and file of the church; and the undeniable development that the land and people of Ikot  Ekpene have experienced from that time till this day.

There is incontrovertible power in the Anointing!! Thus, the mystery of the Anointing Oil is ordained to enforce your liberty and dominion over the works of satan and his agents! Consider Exodus 30:25-31/Ecclesiastes 3:14.

                                                                  VIRTUES OF THE ANOINTING OIL

  • THE BREAKTHROUGH POWER OF GOD: The Anointing renders you unstoppable and irresistible. Affirmed in Isaiah 45:1-3.
  • THE YOKE DESTROYING POWER OF GOD IS CONTAINED IN THE ANOINTING OIL: Comprehensive deliverance is in the Anointing. Do understand, that a yoke is a burden imposed by a Taskmaster on his subjects. Exemplified by the traditional practice of putting a yoke on two farm animals, usually, a cow or oxen; which binds them together, covers up their mouths, so they are not able to eat any farm produce and compels them to pull loads often weightier than them.

It, therefore, begs the question, ‘who is under a yoke?’ Friend, whenever you find yourself working without wealth to show, or sweating without sweetness to show; you are under a yoke. When you find a man making several motions without promotion, or making movements without advancement, such a man is under a yoke. Nonetheless, via this prophetic unction and mystery of the Anointing Oil; every such yoke is destroyed in the name of Jesus!! Thou art loosed!!

Consider Isaiah 10:27 ‘And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.’

  • EXEMPTION POWER IS CONTAINED IN THE ANOINTING OIL: Affirmed in Psalms 105:15 ‘Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.’
  • HEALING POWER IS CONTAINED IN THE ANOINTING OIL: Revealed in Mark 6:13 ‘And they cast out many devils, and anointed with oil many that were sick, and healed them.’
  • RESTORATION POWER IS IN THE ANOINTING OIL: Consider 1 Samuel 10:1-2.
  • ENTHRONEMENT IS IN THE ANOINTING OIL: Consider 1 Samuel 16:13. Forthwith, every morning, anoint your head with the Anointing Oil and declare Psalms 3:3 over your life. Enforce your dominion over your business space, workspace and everywhere the soles of your feet shall tread upon. This land is yours to dominate!!

In a much greater way than one of our associate pastors was restored to his job, with salary arrears of 10yrs fully paid; after an encounter with the mystery of the Anointing; so shall your testimony be delivered in the name of Jesus!! For a man may restore a thing, but God restores years!!! Consider Deuteronomy 33:24 and Joel 2:25.

                                                             ENGAGEMENT OF THE ANOINTING OIL

Consider the following ways the Anointing Oil is engaged:

  • APPLIED ON THE FOREHEAD: Consider Ezekiel 9:6.
  • INGESTED THROUGH THE MOUTH: The Anointing Oil once ingested, moves around the inner workings of your body and totally purges you of every corruption of hell. Consider Matthew 3:11-13.

KINGDOM DEMANDS TO MAKE THE ANOINTING WORK

  • BELIEVE IN THE MYSTERY OF THE ANOINTINGHebrews 11:1&6
  • BE COMMITTED TO WORKING BY FAITH2 Corinthians 5:7
  • BE COMMITTED TO WALKING IN THE COVENANT OF SCRIPTURE: Engage Scripture in all of your endeavors. Consider Psalms 89:34/Jeremiah 33:20-21/Hebrews 6:16-18.
  • BE A RESPONSIBLE BELIEVER: Consider Exodus 23:25 ‘And ye shall serve the Lord your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.

Serving God confers on you an advantage; therefore, practice a responsible Faith; by diligently pursuing after souls: This is the greatest service you can render unto God! Further consider Matthew 6:33 and John 4:36.

Rejoice exceedingly!! For via the mystery of the Anointing and the more sure Word, the siege of hell is lifted from off your life this instant!!!! JESUS IS LORD!!!!!

Understanding the Wonders of Divine Direction (Part 3)

“Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it. ”
( ► Isaiah 30:21 )

Congratulations and welcome to the third week of August 2021. Two weeks ago, we began a series titled: Understanding the Wonders of Divine Direction and so far in the series, we established that the secret of divine guidance is the Guide (Psalm 16:11). Using the story of the Patriarch Jacob in Genesis 46, we saw that God used difficulties, desires, and direction to lead Jacob into His will. Last week, we explored how God used difficulties – the crisis in Canaan to move Jacob to a new location and this week, I will like us to to see how God will lead His people via a desire.

Sometimes God can guide us by placing a desire in our hearts for a new situation. In Genesis 45 & 46, we saw Jacob waiting nervously for his eleven living sons to return with food from Egypt. For 22 years he had mourned the loss of his son Joseph and sending Benjamin, Rachel’s only other child, to Egypt for food was completely against his will. At this point, his sons had been gone for weeks, perhaps months and Jacob was worried about their return. He slept fitfully, and feared that Benjamin would disappear just like Joseph, hence his last connection with Rachel would be gone and he would die in misery. However, on this particular day, Jacob heard the donkeys arrive – his sons had returned! He went out to meet them, and saw Benjamin right up front. Benjamin! Still alive! Before Jacob could reach him, before he could embrace him, all the sons cried out, “Father! Joseph is still alive, and he is ruler over all the land of Egypt!” Jacob was stunned.

In previous years, Jacob had allowed the difficult circumstances of his life to overshadow his trust in God’s sovereignty but the news about Joseph caused Jacob to remember the greatness of his God, God had kept Joseph alive despite Jacob’s years of doubt. God had watched over Joseph and miraculously exalted him in Egypt. Learning of God’s miraculous faithfulness renewed Jacob’s faith and created in Jacob a very strong desire to see Joseph. To see Joseph, Jacob had to relocate to Egypt and the Bible records that Jacob acted wisely. He showed his whole-hearted commitment to God by relocating from Canaan to Egypt.

There are many people experiencing losses everyday simply because they have not trusted in the guidance of the Almighty God who knows everything (Proverbs 3:5-6) so as I sign off this week, I will like you to know that if you partner with God and trust in His guidance, He will guide you in every area of your life (for your own good). He will remove from your path those things that look good but the end of which is utter destruction, He will warn you of danger zones, He will warn you against “blessings” that will lead to your destruction, He will guide you against marrying someone who will cause you irrecoverable loss in the journey of life; He will show you opportunities that people despise but which possess great potentials; and more. . .

Will you let Him DIRECT your steps?

Holy Spirit: Catalyst for Supernatural Breakthrough (Pt.4)

Dearly Beloved,

“Comfort, comfort my people,” says your God. “Speak tenderly to Jerusalem. Tell her that her sad days are gone and her sins are pardoned. . . . Then the glory of the Lord will be revealed, and all people will see it together. The Lord has spoken!”  ( ► Is. 40:1,2,5 )

Congratulations and welcome to the last week of July 2021. Three weeks ago, we began a series titled: Holy Spirit: Catalyst for Supernatural Breakthrough and so far in the series, we have established that by the power of the Holy Ghost, the believer is directed by God, directed into triumph and victory – all the time. As we conclude on the series this week, I want to begin by saying that it is amazing to know that as a believer, you and I have the privilege of being in a relationship with the Creator of the universe.

The Holy Spirit today plays a major role in the application of salvation to the individual. It is the Holy Spirit who brings conviction to the unbeliever and causes him or her to see the truth of the gospel in a clear light. Those who respond to this conviction and place their faith in Jesus Christ receive eternal life and a new nature. The Holy Spirit equally unites the believer with Christ and places him in the body of Christ, controls the believer who yields to God and submits himself to God’s Word; and seals the believer “until the day of redemption”(2 Corinthians 1:22; Ephesians 1:13; 4:30).

The Holy Spirit sovereignly bestows spiritual gifts or abilities for service to every believer. He washes, sanctifies, purifies and justifies (Romans 15;16, 1 Corinthians 6:11; 2 Thessalonians 2:13; 1 Timothy 3:16; 1 Peter 1:2,22), restrains (Acts 16:6) and renews (Titus 3:5). The Holy Spirit provides boldness(Acts 4:31) and power to be a witness (Acts 1:8). He supplies (Philippians 1:19),  strengthens with might (Ephesians 3:16), liberates (2 Corinthians 3:17), reveals (Luke 2:25; 1 Corinthians 2:10,12; Ephesians 1:17-19; 3:5), gives power to mortify the deeds of the flesh (Romans 8:13), gives comfort, health, and strength (John 15:26; Acts 9:31).

Today, the Holy Spirit is inviting you and I to walk with Him. (Romans 8:4-5) so I sign off on the series, if you need a miracle today in your body, your relationship with the Lord, your marriage, your children, your emotions; or your finances – this is your opportunity to believe God and enter into a new and exciting season of His covenant blessings. As you make the Holy Spirit your Senior Partner for life, I see God by His Spirit become an enemy to your enemies, prosper you, restore everything the enemy stole from you, increase you on every side, take sickness away from you, grant you long life; and assign His angels to protect and lead you to your miracles.

Welcome to your new season of overflowing, never ending, proof-producing anointing of God over your life.

Holy Spirit:: Catalyst for Supernatural Breakthrough  (Pt. 3)

Dearly Beloved,

“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”  ( ►Acts 1:8)

Congratulations and welcome to another brand-new week. Two weeks ago, we began a series titled: Holy Spirit:: Catalyst for Supernatural Breakthrough and so far in the series, we established that a solid relationship with God and His Spirit is the pre-requisite for operating in the supernatural realm.

As believers, we belong to a kingdom of power (1 Cor. 4:20/2:4) and power not only authenticates our membership in God’s kingdom; it also gives value to our lives (Psa. 110:2-3/ 66:7). The question then is “why is the church of Christ so powerless in most parts today?” The reason is not far from the fact that many people in church are yet to discover our covenant access to empowerment (Hosea 4:6/Isa. 5:13).

In Acts 2, the Bible records that 50 days after Jesus ascended, a fledgling group of 120 believers could do nothing but pray and fast, wait and dream before they experienced His supernatural breakthrough and the wait was worth it because it did happen and it was powerful. That miraculous moment became a dramatic turning point in the lives of the disciples. That day, the church was born in power – power that transformed the disciples and enabled them to transform the world. This Acts 2 event is a vital reminder that as believers, we are called to a supernatural life and that the same wonder-working power displayed in the life of Jesus and His early followers is available to us when we are filled with the Holy Spirit.

As you read this epistle today, chances are that just like the early disciples, there may be some promise from God that is yet to be fulfilled in your life. With all my heart, I’m convinced that God wants to intervene in your difficult situations, releasing you from issues of poverty, debt, sickness, depression, loneliness, hopelessness, addiction or family strife; whatever your biggest need may be.

In 1 Corinthians 15:6, more than 500 people had encountered the resurrected Savior and heard His promise for “power from on high” but in Luke 24:49, only 120 bothered to show up on the Day of Pentecost to receive His gift.
These 120 disciples yearned for a breakthrough from Heaven so they prayed, they pondered, they prepared; and waited. Just as Jesus’ disciples did before the Spirit was poured out, my prayer for you is that you will follow the example of those who patiently waited for His supernatural presence and as you do, I have it on good authority that your supernatural breakthrough will come swiftly and suddenly.

You will not miss out on the blessings of this season.

Holy Spirit: Catalyst for Supernatural Breakthrough (Pt.2)

“But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. 11 For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God.”  ( ► 1 Corinthians 2:10-11)

Congratulations and welcome to another brand-new week. Last week, we began a series titled: Holy Spirit: Catalyst for Supernatural Breakthrough and by way of introduction, we established that the realm of the supernatural is where one hears things, which others don’t hear.

In Genesis 3, Adam and Eve committed a terrible blunder. The effect of their high-treason offence was so enormous that the law of sin and death literally took over the entire planet. This explains the natural pull towards mediocrity on earth and realistically, the system of this world (by itself) is destined for failure. It is governed by the devil, who is the author of failure. This is why a natural man will always find excellence to be a challenge.

Thankfully, there is a spiritual dimension of reality available to the believer but to walk in this supernatural realm – the realm where God dwells, you and I must have a solid relationship by covenant with God and His Spirit. The Holy Spirit of God teaches, guides, comforts and intercedes. It is the Holy Spirit who brings conviction to the unbeliever and causes him (or her) to see the truth of the gospel in a clear light. The Holy Spirit indwells the believer permanently and His sovereignly is what bestows spiritual gifts or abilities for service to every believer. A relationship with the Spirit of God guarantees the presence of God and the presence of God is the major key to walking in the supernatural realm.

When the Presence of God in a believer’s life intensifies, miracles and wonders multiply. This is more so because the Presence of God is the natural climate of the supernatural realm. Mark 16:20 confirms that when the presence saturates the life of a believer, it turns that believer into a sign and a wonder so as I sign off this week, my prayer for you is that you will hunger and thirst for God so much that you become so full of the Spirit of God – so full of God that you become a mobile carrier of His Presence.

Remain EVER Blessed!

Commanding Signs and Wonders (Part 4)

Congratulations and welcome to the last few days of June 2021. Three weeks ago, we began a series titled Commanding Signs and Wonders. In the course of the series, we have explored the book of acts and so far, we have established that signs and wonders are a miraculous and unique series of events, performed by God through the apostles and a select few others, for a unique purpose.

As we conclude on the series this week, I will like to begin by asking this question: How many times does the Bible use the words “great joy?”. Without waiting for you to go do your research, I will straight up give you the answer – less than a dozen times in the entire Bible. Interestingly, every single time these two words appear in the Bible, whether in Greek or Hebrew, they are talking about truly memorable events and the emotions of VERY happy people. Furthermore, they involved events that were basically spiritual in nature.

In the Old Testament, the people had GREAT JOY at the coronation of Solomon, and when sacrifices were offered for the building of the temple, and at the completion of the wall around Jerusalem. In the New Testament there was GREAT JOY at the birth, and then at the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. Twice we read of GREAT JOY as sinful societies received the gospel and once Paul spoke of his GREAT JOY in the love of Philemon.

In Acts 8, the Bible has a mention of a man named Simon Magus, a magician and sorcerer. He was a Samaritan Rasputin who practiced a polluted, hybridized, satanically-inspired religion and everybody in the city respected but feared him; mostly because for a very long time, this Simon had bewitched them with his sorceries. That narrative however changed when Phillip arrived at Samaria to preach the Kingdom of God in the Name of Jesus Christ.

The Bible records that there was much rejoicing in Samaria and the reason for the GREAT JOY was that Jesus was being proclaimed and significant changes were taking place. Philip preached Christ to Samaria. Men and women, including Simon, believed and were baptized. GREAT JOY came to the city and although there was a church being gathered there, it wasn’t the presence of a church that made the difference, NO. . . the difference was the presence of the power of Christ. Revival time is a time of personal spiritual reawakening and anyone spiritually asleep in a revival stands the risk of missing out on the blessedness of a revival so as I sign off on this series, my prayer for you is that you will make the most of this season at the place of prayer, intercession, and soul winning. Today, no matter who you are, what you have, or where you came from, the same joy can come into your city and into your life. That is what revival is all about.

God BLESS You!

Commanding Signs and Wonders (Part 2)

“Thus says the One who is high and lifted up, who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: ‘I dwell in the high and holy place, and also with him who is of a contrite and lowly spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly, and to revive the heart of the contrite.”  ( ►Isaiah 57:15)

Last week we began a series titled “Commanding the Supernatural and in Part 1 of the series, using the story of the lame man in Acts 3, we established that signs and wonders open doors for revivals.

As we continue with the series, I will like to begin by saying that there is a widespread human tendency to want to see dramatic shreds of evidence of spiritual things before we believe. According to the book of Acts, the dramatic growth of the early Church was consistently a result of God’s word being preached and confirmed with supernatural manifestations. All these began when the church went into prayers in Acts 4:29–30. At that point in time, this body of believers was undergoing career-ending, family-shaking, life-threatening persecution and in the face of these great oppositions, they cried out to God thus: “Lord, look upon their threats and grant to your servants to speak your word with all boldness, while you stretch out your hand to heal, and signs and wonders are performed through the name of your son Jesus.” They cried for boldness in their witness; they cried for God’s hand to be stretched forth in healing; and they cried for God to perform signs and wonders. These first-generation believers were not just “open” to signs and wonders. They were desperate for them and they prayed for them to come and by Acts 5:12 God obliged them and the church grew and multiplied.

The testimony of Acts 5 is not just an isolated instance. The Bible has at least 17 records of where miracles led to widespread healings and conversions in the book of Acts. For instance, in Acts 3:6, the miracle of Pentecost led to 3,000 converts, In Acts 4:4, the miracle of the lame man led to 2,000 converts. However, the Miracles in Acts 9 carry the clearest examples. In Vs 34, Peter healing prayer for Aeneas caused “all the residents of Lydda and Sharon to turn to the Lord” and in Vs. 40-42, the raising of Tabitha from the dead caused an entire city (Joppa), “to believe in the Lord”.

There is no denying the fact that the working of miracles, signs and wonders helps in bringing people to Christ and according to Mark 16:15, it is the duty of every Christian to offer prayers for the church so that those who are yet to come to the light of the glorious truth will receive Jesus as Lord and personal Saviour.

True revival is a biblical concept and God is looking for someone to stand in the gap (Ezekiel 22:30), praying that God would stretch forth his hand to heal and do signs and wonders.

Will you be that someonepraying without ceasing for revival?
